Axel's take: 7.8/10
A practical Pittsburgh base with welcoming staff, good breakfast and some uneven rooms. a simple, limited-service chain hotel outside downtown, scored for what it is.
This is a simple, limited-service Hampton for travelers who want a practical base rather than a downtown address. We'd consider it a good pick with a car: breakfast is included, and recent Expedia and Tripadvisor guests repeatedly praise the friendly staff and clean rooms. Hilton calls the property recently renovated, although guest reports suggest the finish and upkeep aren't consistent throughout.
The main compromises are the car-dependent setting and occasional reports of damp smells, tired fittings or maintenance problems. Those complaints matter, but they're not the dominant picture across the major sites. Parking now carries a nightly charge despite older free-parking listings. The outdoor pool is seasonal; Booking.com lists it closed through May 31, 2027. We'd skip it for a walkable city break or uniformly fresh rooms.
