#3 of 9 hotels in Cape Panwa by Axel's take. Cape Panwa is #10 of 12 places to stay in Phuket. The best hotels in Cape Panwa, ranked · Where to stay in Phuket

Axel's take: 8.8/10

A strong pick for spacious, peaceful stays, provided stairs aren't a problem. A small 4-star beachfront aparthotel with spacious sea-view suites, scored for what it is.

X10 is a 10-suite, 4-star beachfront aparthotel, better suited to independent stays than full-service resort holidays. We'd pick it for generous living space, kitchenettes and wide bay views; pool suites add private plunge pools. Booking.com guests rate cleanliness and staff particularly highly, while recent Agoda and Trip.com reviews reinforce the appeal of the spacious rooms and quiet setting. It's a strong choice for couples and families who prefer slowing down to sightseeing every day.

The compromises are practical: plenty of stairs, no lift and no on-site restaurant, although eateries and convenience stores are walkable. The beach looks appealing, but recurring reports of strong low tides and a rocky or muddy seabed make it less reliable for swimming. We'd skip it for mobility-limited travelers, nightlife seekers or anyone expecting a full-service resort.

  • Best for: Couples seeking quiet sea views; Families wanting apartment-style space; Longer, self-catering stays

  • Watch out for: Many stairs and no lift; No on-site restaurant; Tidal beach with uneven seabed

  • Location: Quiet beachfront Panwa setting; local shops and eateries are walkable, but major attractions require transport.

  • Rooms: Large suites with kitchenettes and balconies; select pool suites for a private plunge pool.

  • Cleanliness: Strong overall ratings, with housekeeping repeatedly praised across booking sites.

  • Service: Helpful staff are a consistent strength, including recent reports of promptly resolving room issues.

  • Amenities: Communal beachfront pool, gym and laundry facilities; no on-site restaurant.

  • Fees and surprises: Expedia lists a deposit and chargeable airport transfers; self-parking is free.
