#7 of 9 hotels in Bangtao & Laguna by Axel's take. Bangtao & Laguna is #8 of 12 places to stay in Phuket. The best hotels in Bangtao & Laguna, ranked · Where to stay in Phuket

Axel's take: 8.0/10

A friendly beach base with generous rooms, but choose carefully for quiet. A simple 3-star garden-and-pool resort near Bang Tao Beach, scored for what it is.

Andaman Seaside is a small, straightforward 3-star resort a short walk from Bang Tao Beach, rather than directly on the sand. It's a strong pick for travelers who want space and convenience without paying for luxury. Recent Agoda and Expedia guests repeatedly praise the helpful staff, clean, roomy accommodation and tropical grounds. Restaurants and a convenience store are close by, and the poolside bungalows would be our first choice over the street-facing family rooms.

The trade-offs are dated furnishings, road noise in some rooms and uneven breakfast reports, particularly around choice and replenishment. Bathroom odors also recur across Booking.com, Expedia and Tripadvisor, although cleanliness feedback overall remains positive. We'd skip it if modern interiors, reliably quiet nights or a polished resort breakfast are priorities; otherwise, it's a practical, good-value beach base.

  • Best for: Families wanting spacious rooms; Value-minded beach travelers; Couples choosing poolside bungalows

  • Watch out for: Road noise in street-facing rooms; Dated interiors and some bathroom-odor reports; Inconsistent breakfast choice and replenishment

  • Location: A short walk from Bang Tao Beach, with restaurants and a convenience store nearby; not directly beachfront.

  • Rooms: Spacious but dated; ground-floor poolside bungalows are the better bet for quiet, while upper rooms require stairs.

  • Cleanliness: Generally praised, with daily housekeeping; bathroom odors recur in a minority of reviews.

  • Service: Recent feedback strongly favors friendly, helpful staff, despite occasional less welcoming encounters.

  • Amenities: Outdoor pool, children's pool, gardens, Wi-Fi and a restaurant; expect simple facilities rather than a full-service resort.

  • Fees and surprises: Breakfast is not included in every booking; airport pickup costs extra, and free parking is limited.
