#2 of 9 hotels in Patong by Axel's take. Patong is #1 of 12 places to stay in Phuket. The best hotels in Patong, ranked · Where to stay in Phuket

Axel's take: 8.8/10

A strong family resort with standout staff, but the beach comes with caveats. a large, family-focused 5-star beachfront resort outside Patong, scored for what it is.

This large, family-focused 5-star resort earns its reputation through warm service and plenty to do without leaving the grounds. Tripadvisor and Expedia guests repeatedly praise the staff, clean rooms and extensive breakfast. Three pools, a kids club and a house reef make it a strong pick for families who want their holiday largely on-site. Rooms are spacious and comfortable rather than cutting-edge luxury, and Patong is a shuttle or taxi ride away.

The beach is the main qualification: its rocky, coral-lined entry and changing tides suit snorkeling better than easy swimming. Expect a lively family atmosphere, not an adults-only retreat, and reserve preferred restaurants ahead. July–August 2026 guests reported restaurant construction and renovation disruption near some rooms; completion could not be verified, so check directly before booking. We'd skip it for walk-out nightlife or a reliably sandy swimming beach.

Best for: families with children; resort-centered holidays; snorkelers happy to follow the tides
Watch out for: rocky beach entry and tide-dependent snorkeling; lively pools and restaurant reservation pressure; confirm completion of reported renovation work
Location: Secluded beachfront outside central Patong; shuttle or taxi needed for nightlife and broader dining choices.
Rooms: Spacious rooms with balconies; generally comfortable, though some recent guests find the interiors dated.
Cleanliness: Strong ratings across major sites; isolated housekeeping complaints do not outweigh the positive pattern.
Service: Warm, helpful staff are the most consistent strength across recent guest reviews.
Amenities: Three pools, kids club, spa, gym, multiple restaurants and a house reef support an activity-filled stay.
Fees and surprises: Deposit required; breakfast depends on your plan, some all-inclusive items cost extra, and renovation completion needs checking.
