#2 of 8 hotels in Rawai & Nai Harn by Axel's take. Rawai & Nai Harn is #5 of 12 places to stay in Phuket. The best hotels in Rawai & Nai Harn, ranked · Where to stay in Phuket

Axel's take: 8.9/10

Warm service and spacious rooms make this a strong Rawai base, despite nearby construction. a small, Thai-style 4-star resort in Rawai, not on the beach, scored for what it is.

Navatara is a small, Thai-style 4-star resort in Rawai, with 37 rooms arranged around a garden pool. It's a strong pick for comfortable, good-value downtime rather than luxury resort spectacle. Recent Tripadvisor, Expedia and Trip.com guests consistently praise the spacious, clean rooms and unusually thoughtful staff. The outdoor pool, small gym and well-liked café give it enough substance for a longer stay, while free beach shuttles make exploring southern Phuket easier.

The main catch is nearby construction: guests report daytime noise outdoors, and management acknowledges the disruption. It isn't beachfront, either; plan on the shuttle for Nai Harn or Yanui. We'd skip it for Patong nightlife, guaranteed poolside silence or step-free access—the property has no elevator. For travelers happy with those limits, the service and comfort make a persuasive case.

  • Best for: couples exploring southern Phuket; longer stays in Rawai; travelers who value personal service

  • Watch out for: nearby construction noise during the day; not beachfront; distant from Patong nightlife; no elevator

  • Location: A southern Phuket base near Rawai restaurants and shops, with free shuttles to local beaches.

  • Rooms: Spacious Thai-style rooms with terraces or balconies; selected categories have direct pool access.

  • Cleanliness: Consistently strong praise across recent Expedia, Tripadvisor and Trip.com reviews.

  • Service: Warm, helpful staff are the clearest recurring strength, including assistance with local transport.

  • Amenities: Outdoor saltwater pool, children's pool, small gym and Tara Cafe; guests generally praise breakfast.

  • Fees and surprises: Parking and local beach shuttles are free; breakfast and airport transfers can cost extra. Nearby construction is the main disruption.
