#1 of 8 hotels in Rawai & Nai Harn by Axel's take. Rawai & Nai Harn is #5 of 12 places to stay in Phuket. The best hotels in Rawai & Nai Harn, ranked · Where to stay in Phuket

Axel's take: 8.9/10

A strong Rawai base for friendly service, garden downtime and longer stays. A small, good-value 3-star apartment-and-villa resort in Rawai, scored for what it is.

Namphung is a small, good-value 3-star apartment-and-villa resort, rather than a full-service beachfront hotel. We'd pick it for a relaxed Rawai stay: recent Tripadvisor and Expedia guests repeatedly praise the welcoming staff, clean accommodation and carefully tended gardens. Two pools and a coworking area give it more appeal than a basic budget hotel, while the kitchen-equipped duplexes make longer stays practical. Booking.com's strong overall rating backs up that positive picture.

Choose the room category carefully: budget rooms, newer minimalist rooms and spacious duplexes offer different experiences. Rawai's waterfront, seafood market and restaurants are nearby, but plan on transport to Nai Harn and for wider Phuket sightseeing. Duplex stairs and the lack of elevators make room selection important for anyone with mobility limitations. We'd skip it if you want beachfront convenience or extensive on-site dining.

  • Best for: Long-stay travelers choosing a kitchen-equipped duplex; Remote workers wanting a sociable garden setting; Couples seeking a relaxed Rawai base

  • Watch out for: Transport needed for Nai Harn and wider sightseeing; Room layouts and facilities vary substantially; Duplex stairs; no elevators

  • Location: Set back from the main road, near Rawai's waterfront, seafood market and restaurants.

  • Rooms: Options range from budget rooms to villas; duplexes add kitchens and separate living space.

  • Cleanliness: Consistently praised across recent guest reviews, including room and pool upkeep.

  • Service: Warm, helpful staff are a recurring highlight; reception has limited hours.

  • Amenities: Two pools, landscaped gardens and coworking space; the advertised gym and spa are nearby, not on-site.

  • Fees and surprises: Airport transfers and breakfast cost extra; the official site specifies less frequent housekeeping for long stays.
