Axel's take: 7.8/10

Strong on family fun, less convincing on room condition. a family-focused 4-star resort a short walk from Surin Beach, scored for what it is.

This family-focused 4-star resort is a good pick if waterslides, kids’ activities and an easy walk to Surin Beach matter more than polished interiors. Tripadvisor and Trip.com guests repeatedly praise the welcoming staff and children’s facilities. Suites and bunk-bed options give families useful choices, and the pools are often the reason children want to return.

The catch is condition: recent reviews across Trip.com, Tripadvisor and Expedia describe tired rooms, worn public areas and inconsistent maintenance. Many guests find rooms clean and comfortable, but musty smells and unresolved faults recur often enough to take seriously. On-site food also draws complaints about cost, and sunny pool loungers can be scarce. We’d choose it for a child-centered beach holiday, but skip it for a romantic escape or reliably fresh four-star surroundings.

• Best for: families with young children; waterslide-loving kids; beachgoers who prioritize activities over polish

• Watch out for: dated rooms and uneven maintenance; occasional musty-room complaints; limited sunny pool loungers

• Location: Roughly five minutes’ walk to Surin Beach, with convenience stores and eateries nearby; not directly beachfront.

• Rooms: Standard rooms, suites and bunk-bed options; check the exact layout, as size and condition receive mixed feedback.

• Cleanliness: Generally positive feedback, tempered by recurring reports of mustiness and uneven housekeeping.

• Service: Warm, child-friendly staff are a consistent strength; follow-through on maintenance problems is less dependable.

• Amenities: Pools with waterslides, kids’ club, gym and spa; recent guests flag wear in some facilities.

• Fees and surprises: Parking is free; airport transfers cost extra, and breakfast inclusion depends on the booking.
