Axel's take: 7.3/10

Good space and location, but repeated relocation reports warrant checking before arrival. a practical 4-star city hotel in El Cangrejo, scored for what it is.

Victoria is a practical 4-star city hotel in El Cangrejo, better suited to travelers seeking space and convenience than luxury polish. Expedia and Tripadvisor guests repeatedly praise the roomy accommodation, helpful staff and cleanliness, while nearby restaurants and Iglesia del Carmen metro make it a useful sightseeing base. The rooftop pool, gym and free parking round out a reasonably well-equipped stay.

The reservation reliability gives us pause. Several guest reviews published on Planet of Hotels between August 2025 and May 2026 describe being moved elsewhere after arriving, often with electrical or maintenance problems cited. That sits alongside plenty of successful recent stays, but deserves a direct pre-arrival check. Other reviews mention aging fittings, and breakfast opinions vary. We'd consider it for a value-minded city break; skip it if dependable arrival arrangements or consistently polished four-star standards are essential.

• Best for: value-minded city explorers; travelers wanting spacious rooms; visitors using the metro

• Watch out for: repeated reports of relocation on arrival; aging fittings and uneven maintenance; mixed breakfast feedback

• Location: Walkable El Cangrejo base with restaurants nearby and Iglesia del Carmen metro roughly five minutes away.

• Rooms: Space and comfort earn praise, though some guests report worn fittings and maintenance shortcomings.

• Cleanliness: Generally a strength across major booking sites, despite occasional housekeeping complaints.

• Service: Many guests praise helpful staff; handling of unexpected relocations draws sharper criticism.

• Amenities: Rooftop pool, fitness center, restaurant, complimentary Wi-Fi and free parking.

• Fees and surprises: Check breakfast inclusion and reconfirm room availability; multiple guests report unexpected transfers to other hotels.
