Axel's take: 8.3/10

A strong convenience pick, though aging rooms keep it from feeling special. a practical 4-star business hotel attached to Multiplaza Mall, scored for what it is.

This practical 4-star business hotel makes most sense when shopping, dining and getting things done matter more than atmosphere. Multiplaza Mall is right at hand, and recent Expedia guests repeatedly praise clean rooms, accommodating staff and comfortable stays. Booking.com’s strongest rating is for location. It’s a strong pick for business trips and shopping breaks, with free parking adding useful convenience.

The compromise is room condition: Tripadvisor and Trip.com guests repeatedly describe older furnishings, carpets and bathrooms. Management has acknowledged room and hallway refurbishment in a Marriott review response, but completion is unclear; check the work schedule and request an updated room. The outdoor plunge pool and gym are small, and breakfast isn’t automatically included. We’d skip it for a pool-focused holiday or if staying in the historic quarter is the priority.

• Best for: shopping-focused city breaks; business travelers; short stays with a car

• Watch out for: aging rooms and bathrooms; refurbishment status needs checking; small pool and gym

• Location: Attached to Multiplaza for easy shopping and dining; expect transport to the historic quarter.

• Rooms: Comfortable beds earn praise, but dated furnishings, carpets and bathrooms recur in reviews.

• Cleanliness: Generally well rated, especially on Expedia, despite occasional housekeeping complaints.

• Service: Mostly friendly and helpful; some guests report uneven reception and problem handling.

• Amenities: Outdoor plunge pool, small gym, restaurants and free on-site parking; no hotel airport shuttle.

• Fees and surprises: Breakfast is not automatically included; pets incur a nonrefundable fee. Confirm room and hallway refurbishment timing.
