#6 of 7 hotels in Punta Paitilla & Punta Pacifica by Axel's take. Punta Paitilla & Punta Pacifica is #4 of 6 places to stay in Panama City. The best hotels in Punta Paitilla & Punta Pacifica, ranked · Where to stay in Panama City

Axel's take: 8.1/10

Comfortable rooms and useful business facilities, with some upkeep concerns. a contemporary mid-range business hotel near ATLAPA, scored for what it is.

Aloft Panama is a contemporary mid-range business hotel near ATLAPA, and we'd pick it for room comfort and practical value rather than luxury. Tripadvisor and Expedia guests repeatedly praise spacious, clean rooms, comfortable beds and helpful staff. The lobby bar, outdoor pool and gym give it more flexibility than a basic overnight stop, while free guest parking is useful if you're driving.

The main reservation is upkeep: several recent Expedia guests mention unpleasant smells, although overall cleanliness feedback remains positive. Breakfast earns mixed-to-positive reviews and isn't automatically included. The location suits convention visits better than travelers wanting abundant restaurants immediately outside. We'd skip it if a polished, full-service experience or a restaurant-packed walking neighborhood matters most; otherwise, it's a solid, comfortable base.

  • Best for: ATLAPA convention visitors; value-minded business travelers; travelers with a car

  • Watch out for: Recent reports of unpleasant smells; Breakfast not automatically included; Limited immediate dining variety

  • Location: Convenient for ATLAPA; some guests find nearby dining choices limited.

  • Rooms: Guests regularly praise spacious rooms, comfortable beds and good showers.

  • Cleanliness: Generally strong guest feedback, tempered by several recent odor complaints.

  • Service: Staff receive broad praise, though a recent Expedia review describes an unhelpful front desk.

  • Amenities: Marriott confirms an outdoor pool, gym, restaurant, bar and meeting facilities—not an indoor pool.

  • Fees and surprises: Guest parking is free; breakfast and pets can cost extra, and Marriott says there is no airport shuttle.
