Axel's take: 8.7/10

Spacious suites and dependable comfort make this a strong downtown base, with construction caveats. a practical 4-star all-suite hotel in downtown Ottawa, scored for what it is.

This practical 4-star all-suite hotel is a strong pick for families and longer stays, rather than travelers seeking luxury. Spacious suites with proper kitchens, included hot breakfast and an indoor pool make it easy to settle in. Recent Expedia and Tripadvisor guests repeatedly praise clean rooms, comfortable beds and welcoming staff; Booking.com’s strong cleanliness and location scores reinforce that picture. Lyon station and a supermarket across the street add everyday convenience.

The main caution is nearby construction: a September 2026 Tripadvisor guest reported work out front complicating arrival and parking, while earlier guests mentioned morning noise. Check access arrangements and request a room away from the work. Underground parking costs extra and has unusually low clearance. We’d choose it for space and practicality, but skip it for luxury or ByWard Market nightlife on the doorstep.

• Best for: families wanting kitchen-equipped suites; longer downtown stays; sightseers using public transit

• Watch out for: nearby construction affecting access and some rooms; paid garage parking with 5-foot-9 clearance; farther from ByWard Market nightlife

• Location: Convenient for Parliament-area sightseeing, with Lyon station and groceries across the street.

• Rooms: Spacious, kitchen-equipped suites; recent guests consistently praise comfort.

• Cleanliness: A clear strength across Booking.com scores and recent Expedia guest reviews.

• Service: Warm, helpful staff earn repeated praise, particularly at reception and breakfast.

• Amenities: Included hot breakfast, indoor pool, gym, free Wi-Fi and in-suite kitchens.

• Fees and surprises: Parking and pets cost extra; garage clearance is 5 feet 9 inches, and recent guests report construction outside.
