#7 of 9 hotels in Le Port by Axel's take. Le Port is #3 of 6 places to stay in Nice. The best hotels in Le Port, ranked · Where to stay in Nice

Axel's take: 7.4/10

A useful self-catering base, held back by tired interiors and limited housekeeping. a practical 3-star aparthotel in Nice’s Riquier neighborhood, scored for what it is.

This 3-star aparthotel is a sensible pick for travelers who want a kitchen and transport links rather than a seafront address. The supermarket opposite makes self-catering easy, and recent Expedia and Accor guests repeatedly praise helpful reception staff and comfortable apartments. We’d consider it for a family city break or a longer stay, especially if cooking some meals matters more than polished surroundings.

The compromise is upkeep: worn corridors, dated furnishings and maintenance niggles recur across sites, while cleanliness earns plenty of praise but is not consistent. Housekeeping and fresh towels do not work like a conventional hotel’s daily service, so check what your stay includes. The small, unheated rooftop pool is summer-only, not a reason to book on its own. Skip it if you want daily pampering, reliably fresh interiors or the beach outside your door.

Best for: families wanting a kitchen; longer self-catering stays; travelers exploring by public transport
Watch out for: recurring wear and maintenance complaints; limited housekeeping and towel changes; small, summer-only rooftop pool
Location: Supermarket opposite and tram links nearby; useful for exploring, but not beachfront.
Rooms: Air-conditioned studios and apartments with kitchens; condition and maintenance vary.
Cleanliness: Many recent guests praise clean apartments, but complaints about stains and poorly maintained areas recur.
Service: Reception is staffed around the clock; helpful staff earn frequent praise, with some uneven experiences.
Amenities: Small unheated seasonal rooftop pool, gym, breakfast service and paid laundry.
Fees and surprises: Parking and breakfast cost extra; confirm included cleaning and towel changes before booking.
