#9 of 9 hotels in Le Port by Axel's take. Le Port is #3 of 6 places to stay in Nice. The best hotels in Le Port, ranked · Where to stay in Nice

Axel's take: 6.1/10

Useful kitchens and tram access, but upkeep makes this a compromise. a basic 3-star aparthotel near Nice’s Vauban tram stop, scored for what it is.

Appart’City Classic Nice is a basic 3-star aparthotel: practical for self-catering, but not a dependable all-rounder. Kitchenettes and the nearby Vauban tram stop are its strongest selling points; this is not a beachfront address. Guests often praise the welcoming staff, including recent reviewers on the hotel’s own site. Booking.com and Expedia’s overall ratings, however, point to a mixed experience rather than a standout budget choice.

The recurring drawbacks are worn furnishings, uneven cleaning and street-facing rooms that pick up traffic and tram noise. Tripadvisor and Expedia guests also report air-conditioning problems in 2025–26, so confirm it is working before a summer stay. Daily housekeeping is not standard, and parking and breakfast cost extra. It can suit a short, practical stay if cooking matters; we’d skip it for reliable comfort, light sleepers or a special Nice getaway.

  • Best for: self-catering travelers; short stays using the tram

  • Watch out for: uneven cleaning and worn furnishings; street noise and reported air-conditioning faults; housekeeping and parking arrangements

  • Location: Near Vauban on tram line 1; useful for reaching central Nice, but not beachfront.

  • Rooms: Studios and larger apartments have kitchenettes; guests repeatedly flag wear, noise and cooling problems.

  • Cleanliness: Mixed: some guests report spotless rooms, while others describe dirty floors, bedding or kitchen equipment.

  • Service: Friendly reception is a recurring strength, although complaint handling is less consistent.

  • Amenities: Free Wi-Fi, kitchenettes, laundry facilities, 24-hour reception and optional buffet breakfast.

  • Fees and surprises: Breakfast, parking and pets cost extra; reserve parking ahead, expect a deposit and confirm housekeeping inclusions.
