Axel's take: 6.7/10

Helpful staff make this downtown base workable, but comfort is inconsistent. a simple 3-star business and conference hotel in Nairobi’s busy downtown, scored for what it is.

Central Park is a simple 3-star business and conference hotel in Nairobi’s busy downtown, best considered for a practical CBD stay rather than a relaxing city break. Staff are its strongest asset: recent Booking.com guests and Google reviews displayed on Wanderlog repeatedly praise helpful service. The hotel advertises meeting rooms, a restaurant, gym, sauna and steam room—useful extras for this class.

The trade-off is inconsistent room upkeep. Booking.com guests in 2025–26 mention noise, unreliable hot water, leaking bathroom fittings and a faulty socket, alongside positive reports of comfortable rooms. Overnight-stay ratings on Booking.com and Expedia are notably weaker than the broader Google score. We’d consider it for a short downtown work trip, but skip it if quiet sleep and dependable room basics matter most.

  • Best for: short CBD business trips; travelers familiar with downtown Nairobi; on-site meeting attendees

  • Watch out for: busy downtown surroundings; room noise; uneven bathroom and electrical maintenance

  • Location: On Sheikh Karume Road between Ronald Ngala Street and Luthuli Avenue; practical for CBD errands, not a quiet setting.

  • Rooms: Some recent guests find rooms comfortable, but noise and maintenance faults make consistency a concern.

  • Cleanliness: Booking.com’s cleanliness score is 7.1/10: acceptable rather than a standout strength.

  • Service: The clearest positive, with repeated recent praise for helpful reception and staff.

  • Amenities: The official site lists meeting spaces, restaurant, bar, gym, sauna, steam room and free Wi-Fi.

  • Fees and surprises: Expedia lists free parking and continental breakfast; airport transfers cost extra. Confirm breakfast inclusion with your booking.
