Use this page-supplied URL; do not invent or look up internal IDs. Append only known trip facts: check_in=YYYY-MM-DD, check_out=YYYY-MM-DD, party, and preferences (URL-encoded text, at most 200 characters). Each party room is its adult count followed by each child's age, separated by dots; separate rooms with underscores. Example: party=2.7_1.0.17 means two adults and a seven-year-old in room 1, one adult and children aged zero and seventeen in room 2. Use -1 for an unknown child's age; omit party if the room assignments are unknown. Never guess dates, ages or room assignments. Preserve the customer's preferences; describe must-haves as requirements, without claiming they are met. Omit unknown fields; Axel asks for missing stay details. Prefer a supplied selected-stay link if it matches the latest request. Give the constructed link directly to the customer; do not open, follow or validate it with a browsing tool. A browsing-tool refusal does not mean the customer link is broken. Clicking opens this hotel’s details and rooms for the stay. Email is needed only at booking. No contact or payment information belongs in the URL.

Optional: inspect rooms and rates at Hotel Isartor. Use known dates and guests; selecting a room or rate is optional.

Axel's take: 8.1/10

A strong sightseeing base, with friendly service but uneven rooms and unreliable Wi-Fi. a practical, independent 3-star near Munich’s Old Town, scored for what it is.

Hotel Isartor is a practical, independent 3-star whose strongest selling point is location: Isartor station is close, and Marienplatz and Viktualienmarkt are an easy walk. We’d pick it for a sightseeing break rather than a hotel-centered stay. Expedia and Trip.com guests repeatedly praise the helpful staff and cleanliness; the hotel also offers a sauna, steam room and gym.

The trade-offs are uneven room condition, some cramped showers and street noise, particularly with windows open. Unreliable Wi-Fi is a recurring complaint across sites, so we’d skip it for internet-dependent work. A Tripadvisor guest reported renovation-related stair access in February 2026; whether that disruption continues is unconfirmed, so check directly if step-free access matters. Also verify breakfast inclusion rather than assuming every booking includes it.

Best for: first-time Munich sightseers; travelers using public transport; couples seeking a straightforward central base
Watch out for: unreliable in-room Wi-Fi; variable room condition and street noise; confirm step-free access after reported renovation disruption
Location: Close to Isartor station; Marienplatz and Viktualienmarkt are within roughly ten minutes on foot.
Rooms: Generally functional and comfortable, but guests report variable upkeep, small showers and noise in some rooms.
Cleanliness: A consistent strength in guest feedback, despite occasional complaints about worn furnishings.
Service: Friendly, helpful staff earn repeated praise across Expedia and Trip.com.
Amenities: The hotel advertises a sauna, steam room, fitness room, breakfast buffet and lobby bar.
Fees and surprises: Parking costs extra; breakfast inclusion varies by booking. February 2026 renovation-related access disruption is reported, but its current status is unconfirmed.
