Axel's take: 6.0/10

A convenient Poblado base, but damp rooms and inconsistent upkeep weaken the appeal. a basic independent 3-star in central El Poblado, scored for what it is.

Hotel Bali at Poblado is a basic independent 3-star whose strongest asset is its walkable El Poblado location, close to restaurants, nightlife and Parque El Poblado. We'd consider it for a short, location-first stay, rather than a comfortable retreat. Breakfast is included, and some Expedia guests praise clean rooms and attentive staff, but the overall feedback is mixed.

The recurring concerns are harder to overlook: Tripadvisor and Expedia guests describe dampness, leaks and poorly maintained bathrooms, while other recent reviews flag thin walls and rooms with limited ventilation. Room categories differ, so confirm air-conditioning rather than assuming it. Renovation work appears in 2025 and early-2026 reports; its current status is unverified. With no elevator, this is also a poor fit for travelers who struggle with stairs. We'd skip it for reliable quiet or consistently well-kept rooms.

• Best for: short, location-first stays; travelers prioritizing restaurants and nightlife

• Watch out for: recurring dampness and bathroom-maintenance complaints; noise and limited ventilation in some rooms; stairs without an elevator

• Location: Central El Poblado, with restaurants and nightlife nearby; roughly a 14-minute walk to Poblado metro.

• Rooms: Condition varies; confirm windows, air-conditioning and the exact room category before booking.

• Cleanliness: Some guests praise cleanliness, but dampness, mold smells and dirty-room complaints recur across sites.

• Service: Often praised on Expedia, though complaint handling and reservation organization receive mixed feedback.

• Amenities: Breakfast, Wi-Fi, terrace and 24-hour reception are listed; no elevator or on-site parking.

• Fees and surprises: Confirm applicable taxes and renovation status; the official website did not provide readable policy information.
