Axel's take: 8.5/10

A strong Provenza base for restaurants and nightlife, less convincing for quiet nights. A Colombian-themed 4-star hotel beside Provenza’s nightlife, scored for what it is.

Diez is a Colombian-themed 4-star in El Poblado, and we'd pick it for exploring Provenza rather than escaping the city. Its regional decor gives it personality, while restaurants and bars are an easy walk away. Recent Expedia and Tripadvisor guests repeatedly praise clean, comfortable rooms, helpful staff and breakfast. City and mountain views, plus rooftop dining, add appeal beyond the convenient address.

The main compromise is sleep: Tripadvisor and Expedia reviews flag nightlife noise, and some guests also hear corridors and neighboring rooms, though others report quiet stays. There's a nightclub in the building, so don't assume the catalog's soundproofing means silence. Spa availability needs checking too: Booking.com retains a room-and-terrace renovation notice closing the sauna, steam room and Jacuzzi, despite the official site advertising them and September 2026 guests reporting Jacuzzi use. We'd skip it for a quiet retreat or a spa-led stay without direct confirmation.

• Best for: Nightlife-focused couples and friends; Travelers exploring Provenza’s restaurants; City breaks with everything nearby

• Watch out for: Nightclub, street and internal noise; Conflicting renovation and spa-availability information; Hilly walk to the metro

• Location: Steps from Provenza’s restaurants and bars; Poblado metro is roughly a 19-minute walk.

• Rooms: Distinctive Colombian decor and appealing views; sound insulation draws recurring criticism.

• Cleanliness: A consistent strength in recent reviews across major sites.

• Service: Friendly, helpful staff earn repeated praise, including assistance with transport and room changes.

• Amenities: Rooftop dining, breakfast and gym; confirm sauna, steam room and Jacuzzi availability.

• Fees and surprises: Expedia lists free self-parking and paid airport transfers; Booking.com prohibits unregistered room visitors.
