#5 of 9 hotels in Kazimierz by Axel's take. Kazimierz is #2 of 7 places to stay in Krakow. The best hotels in Kazimierz, ranked · Where to stay in Krakow

Axel's take: 8.9/10

A strong Kazimierz base, with standout cleanliness and breakfast. a comfortable 4-star city hotel in Kazimierz, scored for what it is.

1891 Garni is a comfortable 4-star city hotel in Kazimierz, and a strong pick for exploring Krakow on foot. Booking.com and Tripadvisor guests repeatedly praise the cleanliness, helpful staff and generous breakfast. The appeal is straightforward: well-kept, air-conditioned rooms, restaurants and bars nearby, and the Old Town square roughly 15–20 minutes away. We'd choose it for a comfortable city break rather than a luxury escape.

The practical compromises are worth knowing. Standard doubles are a fairly compact 18 square metres, and some bathrooms have showers over high-sided baths; request a walk-in shower if access matters. Drivers face limited, paid parking that needs reserving. We'd look elsewhere if spacious entry-level rooms or easy parking are priorities; otherwise, this is a very convincing all-rounder.

Best for: couples on a city break; sightseers exploring on foot; travelers wanting Kazimierz restaurants nearby
Watch out for: limited paid parking; reserve ahead; compact standard doubles; some showers are over high-sided baths
Location: Kazimierz restaurants and sights nearby; roughly 15–20 minutes' walk to the Old Town square.
Rooms: Air-conditioned and well maintained; standard doubles are 18 square metres, with larger superior rooms available.
Cleanliness: A consistent strength across Booking.com, Tripadvisor and Expedia ratings.
Service: Recent guests repeatedly praise helpful, friendly reception staff.
Amenities: Well-reviewed buffet breakfast, French restaurant, courtyard, gym and free Wi-Fi.
Fees and surprises: Parking and airport transfers cost extra; check breakfast inclusion. Expedia also lists a damage deposit.
