#6 of 9 hotels in Airport & Pashupatinath by Axel's take. Airport & Pashupatinath is #7 of 8 places to stay in Kathmandu. The best hotels in Airport & Pashupatinath, ranked · Where to stay in Kathmandu

Axel's take: 7.3/10

A practical temple base, with friendly staff but uneven room standards. a simple budget hotel near Pashupatinath Temple, scored for what it is.

Rameshworam is a simple budget hotel whose strongest selling point is the short walk to Pashupatinath Temple. We'd consider it for a pilgrimage or a brief stay near the airport, rather than a hotel-focused holiday. Booking.com guests praise the helpful staff, food and convenient parking; guest accounts from 2025 on ReadyToTrip broadly reinforce those strengths. An on-site restaurant makes it a practical base for travelers keeping things straightforward.

The compromise is consistency. Booking.com's cleanliness rating trails its service and location scores, while some 2025 reviewers describe maintenance needs and uneven bathroom standards. Tripadvisor's harshest accounts are much older, so they shouldn't define today's verdict. Recent detailed evidence remains limited: we'd skip it if dependable housekeeping and polished rooms matter most. Check your room category, breakfast inclusion and airport-transfer charges before booking.

  • Best for: budget-conscious temple visitors; short stays near the airport; travelers needing on-site parking

  • Watch out for: uneven cleanliness and maintenance; basic rooms rather than polished comfort; breakfast and transfers may cost extra

  • Location: A short walk from Pashupatinath Temple, with convenient access to Tribhuvan Airport.

  • Rooms: Simple private-bathroom rooms; guest reports vary on size and maintenance.

  • Cleanliness: Booking.com's weakest category; some 2025 accounts flag bathroom cleanliness.

  • Service: Helpful, courteous staff are a recurring strength in the available guest accounts.

  • Amenities: Listings agree on a restaurant, free Wi-Fi, free parking, a terrace and a garden.

  • Fees and surprises: Confirm breakfast inclusion; Expedia lists paid airport transfers, and Booking.com lists a refundable cash damage deposit.
