#6 of 9 hotels in Downtown Parkway by Axel's take. Downtown Parkway is #1 of 6 places to stay in Gatlinburg. The best hotels in Downtown Parkway, ranked · Where to stay in Gatlinburg

Axel's take: 8.1/10

A strong budget base for walking Gatlinburg, with roomy accommodation but uneven updates. a budget motel with spacious rooms on downtown Gatlinburg’s Parkway, scored for what it is.

Crossroads Inn & Suites is a budget motel whose strongest selling point is downtown convenience. We'd pick it for a straightforward Gatlinburg stay: leave the car parked free and walk to restaurants, Anakeesta and Ripley’s Aquarium. Booking.com and Hotels.com guests repeatedly praise spacious rooms, comfortable beds and helpful staff, while recent reviews lean strongly positive on cleanliness. The seasonal outdoor pool and children’s splash pool add appeal for families.

The hotel advertises refreshed rooms, but some 2026 guests still describe dated interiors or say the photos flatter the property. Parking is limited, especially later in the evening. Breakfast information also conflicts with recent guest reports, so confirm rather than count on it. It's good value if space and location matter most; we'd skip it for reliably modern rooms or a full-service hotel experience.

  • Best for: budget-conscious downtown sightseers; families wanting extra room; travelers who prefer walking to driving

  • Watch out for: uneven room updates; limited parking; conflicting breakfast information

  • Location: On the Parkway, within walking distance of Anakeesta, the aquarium, restaurants and shops.

  • Rooms: Generally spacious, with refrigerators and microwaves; some interiors still feel dated despite advertised refreshes.

  • Cleanliness: Recent guest feedback is predominantly positive, rather than showing a persistent cleanliness problem.

  • Service: Friendly, helpful staff and straightforward check-in receive repeated praise.

  • Amenities: Seasonal outdoor pool, children’s splash pool and free Wi-Fi; jetted tubs and fireplaces in selected rooms.

  • Fees and surprises: Free onsite parking is limited to one space per unit; confirm breakfast availability before booking.
