Strong downtown convenience and clean rooms, but next-door construction is a real drawback. a comfortable 3-star chain hotel just off downtown Gatlinburg’s main strip, scored for what it is.

This 3-star Courtyard is a strong pick for exploring Gatlinburg on foot without sleeping directly on the main strip. Expedia and Tripadvisor guests repeatedly praise clean, spacious rooms, helpful staff and the short walk to restaurants and attractions. The indoor pool and outdoor hot tub add useful downtime options, especially for families. Marriott also describes the lobby as newly renovated.

The biggest catch is construction of The Scoundrel hotel next door: several 2026 guests report early starts, noise and compromised balcony enjoyment, and the project remains under construction. Ask for a room away from that side rather than assuming a balcony is an upgrade. Parking costs extra, breakfast is not complimentary, and Marriott lists housekeeping every other day. We’d skip it for a quiet daytime retreat or an extras-included stay.
