Axel's take: 7.5/10

Friendly staff and breakfast make this a practical base, but expect some wear. a no-frills budget chain hotel on downtown Fort Worth’s western edge, scored for what it is.

This is a no-frills budget hotel on downtown Fort Worth’s western edge, and we’d consider it for a straightforward short stay rather than a polished city break. Recent Expedia and Trip.com guests repeatedly praise friendly staff, clean rooms and comfortable beds; the included breakfast is another consistent plus. It’s useful for downtown and Medical District visits, though not right among the main restaurants and nightlife.

The trade-offs are an aging building, occasional maintenance problems and paid parking that weakens the value for drivers. Recent reports mention faulty bathroom fixtures and broken ice machines, but the broader cleanliness picture remains positive. Expedia also flags construction at a neighboring building, with possible noise. We’d skip it if you want freshly updated rooms or a quieter stay without that construction risk.

  • Best for: short business stays; Medical District visitors; travelers who value included breakfast

  • Watch out for: paid, sometimes tight parking; aging fixtures and occasional maintenance faults; neighboring-building construction noise

  • Location: On downtown’s western edge; Expedia places the convention center about a 15-minute walk away.

  • Rooms: Comfortable beds and in-room refrigerators and microwaves, but some guests report worn or faulty fixtures.

  • Cleanliness: Generally positive across recent guest reports, with Booking.com and Expedia cleanliness scores above eight out of ten.

  • Service: Friendly, helpful staff are the clearest recurring strength across several sites.

  • Amenities: IHG confirms included breakfast, free Wi-Fi, an indoor pool and a 24-hour fitness center.

  • Fees and surprises: Parking and pets carry extra charges; Expedia currently warns of construction at a neighboring building.
