#4 of 9 hotels in Fossil Creek by Axel's take. Fossil Creek is #6 of 6 places to stay in Fort Worth. The best hotels in Fossil Creek, ranked · Where to stay in Fort Worth

Axel's take: 7.8/10

Good budget basics and helpful staff, but rooms are showing their age. a no-frills 2-star chain hotel in north Fort Worth, scored for what it is.

This no-frills 2-star in north Fort Worth is a good pick for drivers who want comfortable basics rather than a polished hotel. Expedia and Tripadvisor guests generally praise the helpful staff, while recent Trip.com reviews highlight spacious rooms, comfortable beds and a satisfying breakfast. Free parking, in-room microwaves and refrigerators make it practical for families and short work trips.

The main compromise is condition: recent guests describe worn furniture, tired carpeting and occasional air-conditioning problems. Cleanliness feedback remains mostly positive, but several pest and housekeeping complaints deserve attention. Pool maintenance disrupted some spring 2026 stays; a July guest reported using both the pool and hot tub. We'd choose it for a straightforward overnight, but skip it if fresh interiors, daily housekeeping or a walkable downtown location matter most.

  • Best for: budget-conscious travelers with a car; short work trips; families wanting breakfast included

  • Watch out for: aging furnishings and occasional maintenance issues; some recent pest and housekeeping complaints; confirm pool availability before booking

  • Location: Convenient highway access and nearby restaurants; downtown sightseeing generally means driving.

  • Rooms: Spacious rooms with microwaves and refrigerators; furnishings show wear and some guests report uneven cooling.

  • Cleanliness: Mostly praised, but recent pest reports and inconsistent housekeeping keep it from being a confident strength.

  • Service: Friendly, helpful front-desk staff are a consistent positive across sites.

  • Amenities: Breakfast, parking and Wi-Fi included; gym, indoor pool and hot tub, with pool use reported in July 2026.

  • Fees and surprises: Trip.com lists a refundable credit-card deposit and a minimum check-in age of 21; housekeeping may not be daily.
