Ferradura is a residential beach retreat around a sheltered, horseshoe-shaped bay. Calm, shallow water and activities such as kayaking and paddleboarding make it our strongest family choice. The busier left-hand end has food stalls and beach services; the opposite end feels more residential, with access passages between holiday houses.

The trade-off is the evening routine. This is not a neighborhood where every dinner becomes an easy stroll past competing restaurants, and some hillside addresses add climbs to beach trips. Choose it for slower days, privacy and a willingness to use taxis or a car. Skip it if your ideal holiday means spontaneous shopping and bars after sunset.
