Axel's take: 8.6/10
A strong beach-first pick, with compact rooms and a few service inconsistencies. A small, independent 3-star beachfront hotel on Geribá, scored for what it is.
Chez Pitu is a small, independent 3-star hotel directly on Geribá Beach, and it's a strong pick if sand rather than downtown nightlife is your priority. Booking.com and Expedia guests consistently praise the beachfront setting, cleanliness and hospitality. The hotel adds useful extras for its class: a heated ocean-facing pool, beach service, breakfast and afternoon tea. We'd favor a sea-view balcony room if the outlook matters to you.
The main compromise is space: recent Expedia and Tripadvisor guests describe some rooms as small, even when comfortable. Service is generally a strength, but reception attracts repeated exceptions to that praise. Parking is paid and off-site, with valet assistance. We'd skip it if you want spacious accommodation, uniformly polished service or Rua das Pedras within an easy stroll.
