Axel's take: 9.0/10
A strong small-inn choice for warm service, excellent breakfast and exploring Búzios on foot. A small, independent 3-star pousada near Orla Bardot, scored for what it is.
Auberge de La Langouste is a small, independent 3-star pousada that gets the essentials unusually right. Just off Orla Bardot and a short walk from Rua das Pedras, it makes an excellent base for exploring Búzios without a car. Booking.com, Expedia and recent Tripadvisor guests consistently praise the cleanliness, comfortable rooms and genuinely helpful staff. Breakfast is a particular strength, with freshly prepared items drawing repeated praise; the tropical garden and heated pool add appeal beyond the basics.
The trade-offs are mostly practical: there is no on-site parking, upper-floor rooms require stairs, and the pool is small rather than resort-sized. Room categories also differ in size, so check what you are booking. We'd choose it for couples prioritizing hospitality and walkability, but skip it if step-free access or extensive resort facilities are essential.
