Stay for surf and long beach days, not nightly walks to Centro. Geribá combines excellent hotels with the strongest value, but getting around is less convenient and evenings offer fewer choices than Centro.
Geribá feels like a proper beach neighborhood rather than an extension of Rua das Pedras. The long sweep of sand attracts surfers, families and groups, with beach restaurants and a mix of holiday houses and pousadas behind it. Rua Gerbert Perissé is a useful beachfront reference; the eastern end gives access toward Ferradurinha.

It is less convincing for sightseeing by day and Centro every night: the main avenue carries the vans, not the beachfront, and holiday traffic complicates cross-town outings.
