A practical city base with excellent breakfast, friendly staff and stripped-back rooms. a no-frills 3-star near Copenhagen Central Station, scored for what it is.

Comfort Hotel Vesterbro is a no-frills 3-star that makes a strong base for exploring Copenhagen rather than lingering in your room. Central Station and Tivoli are a short walk away, with plenty of restaurants nearby. Booking.com and Expedia guests repeatedly praise the helpful staff, comfortable beds and generous breakfast buffet. We'd pick it for a short city break where convenience matters more than extras.

The compromises are worth knowing: Compact doubles are genuinely small, rooms lack kettles, and the hotel lists housekeeping every fourth day. Recent guests also mention crowded breakfasts, while several Tripadvisor reviewers report underpowered air conditioning. Cleanliness feedback is broadly positive, despite some reports of worn fittings. Check whether breakfast is included, and budget for parking separately. We'd skip it if you want spacious rooms, daily servicing or reliably strong summer cooling.

• Best for: short sightseeing breaks; travelers arriving by train; couples happy with simple rooms

• Watch out for: small Compact rooms and no in-room kettle; housekeeping every fourth day; busy breakfasts and reports of weak air conditioning

• Location: Walkable to Central Station, Tivoli and Vesterbro restaurants; this is a city hotel, not a beach property.

• Rooms: Compact doubles are 14 m²; standard doubles are 17–20 m², with comfortable beds but limited extras.

• Cleanliness: Generally well rated, with occasional condition complaints; scheduled housekeeping is every fourth day.

• Service: Friendly, helpful staff are a consistent strength; reception shares space and duties with the bar.

• Amenities: Gym, lobby bar, round-the-clock deli, guest laundry, bike rental and a well-liked breakfast buffet.

• Fees and surprises: Breakfast inclusion depends on the booking; parking and pets carry extra charges.
