Axel's take: 8.8/10

A strong waterfront pick for design and comfort, with some nighttime noise risk. a design-led 4-star on Copenhagen’s waterfront, scored for what it is.

25hours Paper Island is a design-led 4-star with a Danish summer-house feel, and it delivers more than photogenic interiors. Recent Tripadvisor and Expedia guests repeatedly praise comfortable beds, clean rooms and friendly staff; Booking.com’s strong ratings reinforce that picture. The waterfront setting puts Nyhavn within walking distance, while the complimentary minibar, Asian restaurant Tiger Lily and rooftop Victory bar give it appeal beyond the bedroom. It’s a strong pick for a characterful Copenhagen city break.

Choose your room carefully: entry-level Medium rooms have limited unpacking space and an open shower-and-sink layout that won’t suit every sharing arrangement. Several guests report nighttime bass or bar noise, including from Victory. Housekeeping is not automatically daily; request additional cleaning. We’d skip it if guaranteed quiet or a conventional, private bathroom matters more than design.

• Best for: design-minded couples; waterfront city breaks; travelers exploring on foot or by bike

• Watch out for: nighttime bar noise in some rooms; compact Medium rooms with open bathroom layouts; daily housekeeping must be requested

• Location: Waterfront Paper Island setting, roughly 10–15 minutes’ walk from Nyhavn; metro access takes a walk.

• Rooms: Comfortable beds and distinctive interiors; Medium rooms offer limited storage and bathroom privacy.

• Cleanliness: Strong across Booking.com and Expedia; confirm the cleaning schedule at check-in.

• Service: Recent reviews predominantly praise welcoming, helpful staff, with occasional lapses in proactive assistance.

• Amenities: Tiger Lily restaurant, rooftop Victory bar, bike rental and complimentary in-room minibar.

• Fees and surprises: Breakfast may cost extra; pets and limited first-come basement parking incur charges.
