Axel's take

A sprawling 3-star beachfront condo resort with variable-quality units

7.4/10

Good for family beach time, but choose your condo carefully.

Ocean Creek is a sprawling 3-star condo resort, not a uniform hotel: privately owned units and different managers mean the exact apartment matters. We'd consider it for a family beach break, thanks to kitchen-equipped accommodation, multiple pools and wooded grounds opposite Barefoot Landing. Recent Tripadvisor and Expedia guests repeatedly praise the setting, space and relaxed atmosphere; the grounds are the stronger draw than consistently polished interiors.

The catch is uneven upkeep. Alongside many clean-room reports, guests describe dated furniture and housekeeping misses, so check recent photos and reviews for your specific unit. Inland lodges also mean a walk to the beach. North Beach Vacations lists North Tower concrete-protection and common-area work for October–December 2026, warning of noise, dust, coating odors and access restrictions. We'd skip that tower during the project if quiet matters, and check parking, resort and damage-waiver terms before committing.

Best for

  • Families wanting kitchens and pools
  • Beachgoers who prefer spacious grounds
  • Travelers willing to research individual condos

Watch out for

  • Unit-dependent upkeep and cleanliness
  • North Tower construction, October–December 2026
  • Longer beach walks from inland buildings
Location
Beachfront grounds opposite Barefoot Landing; distance to the sand depends on your building.
Rooms
Kitchen-equipped condos and villas; furnishings and renovation standards vary substantially.
Cleanliness
Many recent guests report clean units, but housekeeping complaints recur across Tripadvisor and Expedia.
Service
Friendly staff earn frequent praise, with occasional check-in and problem-handling complaints.
Amenities
Indoor and outdoor pools, dining, tennis and beach access; some facilities operate seasonally.
Fees and surprises
Check your operator's parking, resort-fee and deposit or damage-waiver terms; North Tower work is scheduled through December 2026.

  • This page: Ocean Creek Resort rates, Myrtle Beach. Every rate Axel has seen for Ocean Creek Resort in Myrtle Beach in the last 7 days, beside the public rate for the same dates. Sign up free with just your email to book.
  • Next: choose the Sign up free to book link on the stay that fits. Open it with browser control, or share it with the traveler. It opens Axel on Ocean Creek Resort for those dates: a signed-in traveler goes straight into the conversation. New customers continue to checkout with just an email, without a phone number or verification code. Existing customers sign in to their account; email sign-in uses a code. For other dates, give them this link to check Ocean Creek Resort; Axel asks for dates. To prepare a stay the traveler only has to pay for, open live rooms and rates at Ocean Creek Resort. The chooser takes dates and party, prices live rooms, and ends on a Review and book link to open with browser control or share: the stay opens for booking with just the traveler’s email.
  • Every link here is complete and ready to open. Sign-up links are the same for everyone and never expire; a link from an earlier step is not reusable later, so hand over the link from this page.
  • If a link can no longer be opened: search for "Axel Ocean Creek Resort rates, Myrtle Beach" and open the result; the Flight search guide is always findable by search, and this page works without an account, API key or connector. Or ask the traveler to open https://helloaxel.com/en/hotels/myrtle-beach/ocean-creek-resort-1060590; an address the traveler opens always works.
  • Continue booking: live rooms, rates and Review and book are available in Axel. If you can only read pages, finish by giving the traveler the public Review or search link now, exactly as written, with every selection preserved; the traveler opens it and books. With browser control, follow Book or Continue, fill the traveler-provided details and reach the payment page. Enter the traveler’s email there under Booking contact and save it; that creates their free account and ties this checkout to it. Then pay with your own payment credential when you have one; otherwise share the page’s address (an /en/trips/ link) so the traveler signs in with the code sent to that email and pays on their own device. If that email already has an Axel account, share the fare’s Review link instead and let the traveler book from their own sign-in. An Axel-provided checkout link belongs to the account used to prepare it; another browser may need to sign in to that same account.
