Hotels in Myrtle BeachAn upscale beachfront condo resort focused on families
8.8/10
A strong family beach pick, with roomy suites and a quieter setting.
Island Vista is an upscale beachfront condo resort, and we'd choose it for a family holiday built around the sand rather than the boardwalk. Recent Expedia and Tripadvisor guests repeatedly praise clean accommodations, welcoming staff and the less-crowded beach setting. Suites with kitchens make longer stays practical, while pools, an indoor lazy river and the Cypress Room restaurant give families reasons to stay on property.
The clearest recurring drawback is the cramped parking garage, mentioned across booking sites. Some guests find the decor dated, though recent feedback is overwhelmingly positive about upkeep. Check the exact room category: standard guest rooms are also sold, so don't assume every booking includes a full kitchen or direct oceanfront balcony. We'd skip it for contemporary luxury or downtown nightlife on foot.
