Axel's take

a simple 3-star beachfront hotel in North Myrtle Beach

7.6/10

A good beach-first choice, with friendly staff doing more to impress than the rooms.

This simple 3-star beachfront hotel in North Myrtle Beach is a good pick for families who prioritize sand, swimming and an included breakfast over polished interiors. Expedia and Tripadvisor guests repeatedly praise the helpful staff, ocean views and poolside tiki bar. Indoor and outdoor pools, a lazy river and hot breakfast make it an appealing base for an uncomplicated beach vacation.

The trade-off is uneven upkeep: recent guests still describe dated rooms, and cleaning draws mixed feedback despite plenty of positive reports. Trip.com lists a 2026 renovation, but don't assume every room feels refreshed. Check your room category carefully: Beach Villa rooms occupy a separate annex with limited side views, not the balcony-front experience many photos suggest. There's also a daily destination fee. We'd skip it if consistently modern rooms and meticulous housekeeping are priorities.

Best for

  • families prioritizing beach and pool time
  • travelers comfortable with older hotels
  • couples wanting an oceanfront balcony

Watch out for

  • dated rooms and uneven cleaning
  • daily destination fee
  • Beach Villa annex has limited side views
Location
Direct beach access in North Myrtle Beach's Crescent Beach area, rather than central Myrtle Beach.
Rooms
Room condition varies; select an explicitly oceanfront balcony category if the view matters.
Cleanliness
Many guests report clean rooms, but missed vacuuming and bathroom-cleaning shortcomings recur.
Service
Friendly, helpful staff are the most consistent strength across guest-review sites.
Amenities
Included hot breakfast, indoor and outdoor pools, lazy river, tiki bar and fitness facilities.
Fees and surprises
Daily destination fee; free parking is limited to one car per room, with some parking across the street.
