Good for Itaewon nights out, much less convincing for a quiet night in.
Hamilton is an older 3-star hotel whose biggest advantage is its position beside Itaewon Station, surrounded by restaurants, bars and clubs. It’s a good pick if nightlife and easy subway access matter more than polished interiors. Recent Expedia and Trip.com guests regularly praise clean rooms, comfortable beds and helpful staff, although some describe the decor and bathrooms as dated.
The main compromise is substantial: club music and bass can continue until dawn, and complaints recur across sites, including from otherwise happy guests. Earplugs are provided, but they don’t reliably solve it. The hotel’s own website also makes clear that the outdoor pool is a summer-only, separately charged club pool for adults, not a family swimming amenity. We’d choose Hamilton for a nightlife-focused trip and skip it for light sleepers, early starts or families wanting restful evenings.
