Axel's take

a lively budget backpacker hostel beside Plaça de Catalunya

8.2/10

A strong central base for meeting people, less convincing for uninterrupted sleep.

St Christopher’s is a lively budget backpacker hostel, not a conventional two-star hotel. Its biggest advantages are the location beside Plaça de Catalunya and a social setup that makes arriving alone easier: Belushi’s bar, welcome events and organised activities. Recent Tripadvisor, Expedia and Hostelworld guests repeatedly praise helpful staff, comfortable curtained bunks and generally good cleanliness. It’s a strong pick for travelers who want sightseeing convenience and ready-made company.

The compromises are mostly hostel basics: shared bathrooms, short push-button shower cycles and potential disturbance from roommates or the bar. Noise reports vary, so don’t assume every dorm is loud, but bring earplugs. Bathroom cleanliness gets occasional criticism rather than consistently poor feedback. Towels cost extra to rent. We’d skip it if reliable quiet and a bathroom to yourself matter more than meeting people.

Best for

  • solo travelers wanting company
  • budget sightseeing trips
  • backpackers who enjoy nightlife

Watch out for

  • possible dorm and bar noise

Rooms
Curtained bunks with individual lights and sockets; female-only dorms and private rooms available.
Cleanliness

Helpful reception staff and sociable event hosts earn repeated praise.

  • This page: St Christopher's Inn, Barcelona - Hostel rates, Barcelona. Every rate Axel has seen for St Christopher's Inn, Barcelona - Hostel in Barcelona in the last 7 days, beside the public rate for the same dates. Sign up free with just your email to book.
  • Next: choose the Sign up free to book link on the stay that fits. Open it with browser control, or share it with the traveler. It opens Axel on St Christopher's Inn, Barcelona - Hostel for those dates: a signed-in traveler goes straight into the conversation. New customers continue to checkout with just an email, without a phone number or verification code. Existing customers sign in to their account; email sign-in uses a code. For other dates, give them this link to check St Christopher's Inn, Barcelona - Hostel; Axel asks for dates. To prepare a stay the traveler only has to pay for, open live rooms and rates at St Christopher's Inn, Barcelona - Hostel. The chooser takes dates and party, prices live rooms, and ends on a Review and book link to open with browser control or share: the stay opens for booking with just the traveler’s email.
  • Every link here is complete and ready to open. Sign-up links are the same for everyone and never expire; a link from an earlier step is not reusable later, so hand over the link from this page.
  • If a link can no longer be opened: search for "Axel St Christopher's Inn, Barcelona - Hostel rates, Barcelona" and open the result; the Flight search guide is always findable by search, and this page works without an account, API key or connector. Or ask the traveler to open https://helloaxel.com/en/hotels/barcelona/st-christopher-s-inn-barcelona-hostel-1267163; an address the traveler opens always works.
  • Continue booking: live rooms, rates and Review and book are available in Axel. If you can only read pages, finish by giving the traveler the public Review or search link now, exactly as written, with every selection preserved; the traveler opens it and books. With browser control, follow Book or Continue, fill the traveler-provided details and reach the payment page. Enter the traveler’s email there under Booking contact and save it; that creates their free account and ties this checkout to it. Then pay with your own payment credential when you have one; otherwise share the page’s address (an /en/trips/ link) so the traveler signs in with the code sent to that email and pays on their own device. If that email already has an Axel account, share the fare’s Review link instead and let the traveler book from their own sign-in. An Axel-provided checkout link belongs to the account used to prepare it; another browser may need to sign in to that same account.
