Hotel Versey is a 3-star, boutique-style hotel in a 1920s landmark building where Lincoln Park meets Lakeview, a short walk from the zoo and Wrigley Field but about 20 minutes from downtown. Booking sites score it well, and guests praise the helpful staff, stylish rooms and the neighborhood's shops and restaurants. Google guests are more measured, which fits a hotel with real quirks.
The big issue right now is construction. Listings say the elevator, guest rooms and hallways are being renovated through much of 2026, and a May 2026 Tripadvisor guest reported daytime noise and an elevator that was out of service. Bathrooms are the weak spot in recent comments, described as small and worn, and an older review mentions HVAC noise from the building next door. Parking costs extra. We'd skip it for now if you sleep lightly or need easy elevator access; the picture may improve once the work wraps up.
