Axel's take: 8.9/10

A strong airport stopover, with standout cleanliness and genuinely helpful staff. a dependable, limited-service 3-star near Charlotte airport, scored for what it is.

This limited-service 3-star is a strong pick for an airport overnight or a short business trip. Recent Expedia and Tripadvisor guests repeatedly praise clean, comfortable rooms and unusually helpful front-desk staff, while Booking.com’s high cleanliness and comfort scores reinforce that picture. Included breakfast, a complimentary airport shuttle, an outdoor pool and a gym make it a practical, well-equipped option rather than just somewhere to sleep.

The trade-offs are mostly logistical: this is a car-oriented location, not a walkable base for exploring Uptown. Marriott now lists a daily parking charge, despite some booking listings advertising free parking, and housekeeping is scheduled every other day rather than daily. Confirm shuttle arrangements before arrival, especially around early flights. We’d choose it for convenience and reliable basics; we’d skip it for a car-free city break or full-service comforts.

• Best for: airport stopovers; short business trips; travelers prioritizing cleanliness

• Watch out for: daily parking charge; housekeeping every other day; car-oriented location

• Location: Convenient for the airport; less suitable for exploring Charlotte on foot.

• Rooms: Straightforward, comfortable rooms earn consistently strong guest feedback.

• Cleanliness: A clear strength across recent Expedia and Tripadvisor reviews and Booking.com category scores.

• Service: Helpful, welcoming front-desk staff are a recurring highlight.

• Amenities: Included breakfast, complimentary airport shuttle, outdoor pool, gym and guest laundry.

• Fees and surprises: Trust Marriott’s paid-parking policy over conflicting booking listings; housekeeping is every other day.
