5.6/10
Useful apartment-style suites, but unreliable housekeeping and reservations make this a risky pick.
WaterWalk is a practical 3-star extended-stay apartment hotel off I-77, with full kitchens, separate living space and in-suite washers and dryers. Those conveniences are its strongest selling point. Some 2026 Expedia guests praise clean, comfortable suites and helpful staff, but the overall picture is uneven: Expedia scores it 7.0, while Booking.com is substantially lower at 5.3. We'd approach it cautiously rather than call it dependable value.
The problem isn't a handful of picky reviews. Tripadvisor, Google reviews reproduced on Wanderlog, and recent Trip.com guests repeatedly describe dirty rooms, stained furniture, odors and reservations not being honored. June–July 2026 reviews also report elevator failures and maintenance problems. It may suit longer stays where cooking and laundry matter most, but we'd skip it for an important trip or if consistent cleanliness is nonnegotiable.
Axel's opinion, from the hotel's website and recent guest reviews, scored for what the hotel is. Sources: Hotel website · Expedia · Booking.com · Tripadvisor · Trip.com · wanderlog.com. Reviewed Oct 10, 2026.

Best for: long-stay travelers prioritizing kitchens and laundry; drivers needing multi-bedroom accommodation
Watch out for: recurring cleanliness and odor complaints; reservations reportedly canceled or room types unavailable; recent elevator and maintenance complaints
Location: Off I-77 on Arrowood Road; better suited to drivers than a walkable Uptown visit.
Rooms: Apartment-style suites with kitchens and laundry; guests report stained furnishings and uneven maintenance.
Cleanliness: Clean stays are reported, but dirty rooms, linens and common areas recur across sources.
Service: Some staff earn warm praise; reservation handling and responses to problems are inconsistent.
Amenities: Fitness center, courtyard grills, firepit, free Wi-Fi and parking; no breakfast service listed.
Fees and surprises: A security deposit and pet fee apply; confirm the reserved room type directly before arrival.
