Axel's take: 7.2/10

Helpful staff and practical kitchens make up for some distinctly tired rooms. A mid-range, all-suite Marriott extended-stay hotel near Walden Galleria, scored for what it is.

This mid-range, all-suite Marriott is a practical base for shopping trips and longer stays, rather than a polished getaway. Fully equipped kitchens, separate living areas and included hot breakfast give it useful everyday appeal. Tripadvisor and Expedia guests repeatedly praise the welcoming front desk, and many report spacious, clean rooms. We'd consider it if cooking facilities and convenient suburban access matter more than fresh interiors.

The catch is uneven room condition. Reviews across sites describe worn furniture, uncomfortable sofa beds and maintenance lapses; cleanliness feedback is generally positive but not consistent. Parking costs extra, and we'd confirm pool availability directly: older photos show one, but Marriott's current amenities do not list it. Skip it if you want reliably updated rooms or a walkable downtown Buffalo stay.

• Best for: Longer stays with self-catering; Shopping trips with a car; Business travelers prioritizing helpful staff

• Watch out for: Worn furnishings and sofa beds; Daily parking charge; Pool availability unconfirmed

• Location: Near Walden Galleria, restaurants and the airport; better suited to drivers than downtown sightseeing on foot.

• Rooms: Studios and one- and two-bedroom suites have kitchens; recurring complaints concern dated furniture and sofa-bed comfort.

• Cleanliness: Many guests report clean rooms, but recent reviews also describe housekeeping lapses and stained bedding.

• Service: Friendly, accommodating front-desk staff are the clearest recurring strength across review sites.

• Amenities: Hot breakfast, gym and guest laundry; pool photos remain online, but current official amenities omit a pool.

• Fees and surprises: Parking and pets incur charges; Marriott's pet-fee wording is inconsistent, so confirm the terms before booking.
