#9 of 9 hotels in European Quarter by Axel's take. European Quarter is #5 of 9 places to stay in Brussels. The best hotels in European Quarter, ranked · Where to stay in Brussels

Axel's take: 7.6/10

Practical for EU business, but ongoing renovations make this a qualified recommendation. a four-star business hotel in Brussels’ European Quarter, scored for what it is.

Renaissance Brussels is a four-star business hotel best chosen for European Parliament visits and easy access to Brussels-Luxembourg station. We'd shortlist it for practical comfort rather than character: Booking.com and Expedia guests regularly praise cleanliness, comfortable beds and breakfast, while Tripadvisor reviewers appreciate the generous room sizes. Staff generally earn good feedback, particularly for helpful individual service.

The main reservation is current room renovation work: Marriott warns of activity Monday–Friday, 9am–5:30pm, and a September 2026 Tripadvisor review confirms daytime noise. Older rooms still attract complaints about dated furnishings, and temperature-control problems recur on Tripadvisor and Expedia. We'd skip it for a quiet daytime retreat or a sightseeing trip centered on Grand Place. Past guests praise the pool, but confirm current access before making it the reason to book.

Best for: European Parliament business trips; Travelers using Brussels-Luxembourg station
Watch out for: Weekday daytime renovation noise; Dated rooms and inconsistent temperature control; Confirm current pool access
Location: Excellent for the European Parliament and rail connections; less immediate for Grand Place sightseeing.
Rooms: Generally spacious with comfortable beds; older furnishings and recurring heating or cooling complaints.
Cleanliness: A consistent strength across Booking.com and Expedia, despite some negative individual reports.
Service: Usually friendly and helpful, though Tripadvisor reports uneven problem handling.
Amenities: The Poet serves food and drinks; past guests praise the pool, but current access needs confirmation.
Fees and surprises: Parking and pets cost extra; Marriott confirms ongoing weekday room renovations, 9am–5:30pm.
