#1 of 9 hotels in Gare du Midi & Saint-Gilles by Axel's take. Gare du Midi & Saint-Gilles is #8 of 9 places to stay in Brussels. The best hotels in Gare du Midi & Saint-Gilles, ranked · Where to stay in Brussels
Axel's take: 8.5/10
A strong self-catering base for train travelers, with a less appealing neighborhood. a practical 3-star aparthotel near Brussels-Midi station, scored for what it is.
This practical 3-star aparthotel is a strong pick for Eurostar stopovers and rail-based sightseeing. Booking.com, Expedia and Trip.com guests consistently praise clean rooms, comfortable beds and helpful staff. Kitchenettes with a hob, fridge, microwave and dishwasher make simple meals easy, while breakfast earns mostly positive feedback. It delivers the useful basics well without pretending to be a full-service hotel.
The main compromise is outside: several recent guests describe the station neighborhood as run-down, and some feel uncomfortable after dark, though others report feeling safe. Standard studios are compact at 17 square meters. Recent Expedia and Trip.com reviews also flag housekeeping arrangements that need clarifying rather than assuming daily cleaning. We'd choose it for transport convenience and self-catering, but skip it for a romantic stay surrounded by Brussels' prettiest streets.
-

-

-
