#6 of 8 hotels in Sablon by Axel's take. Sablon is #2 of 9 places to stay in Brussels. The best hotels in Sablon, ranked · Where to stay in Brussels

Axel's take: 8.1/10

A strong-value central base, with dependable basics but uneven rooms and soundproofing. a large, traditional 3-star conference hotel in central Brussels, scored for what it is.

Bedford is a large, traditional 3-star conference hotel, and we'd pick it for practical comfort and location rather than boutique character. Grand Place and Manneken Pis are an easy walk away. Booking.com and Expedia guests consistently praise cleanliness, helpful staff and comfortable beds, with many finding the rooms generously sized. The rooftop bar adds something beyond the usual city-hotel basics, and breakfast generally earns positive feedback.

The trade-off is consistency: rooms vary in size and freshness, and repeated reports of noise between rooms make this less convincing for light sleepers. The gym is basic, too. An August 2026 guest reported disruptive internal room renovations starting around 8 a.m.; completion wasn't confirmed, so check before booking. It's good value for sightseeing, but we'd skip it if contemporary interiors or reliably quiet nights are priorities.

Best for: value-conscious city-break travelers; sightseers exploring on foot; conference travelers
Watch out for: uneven soundproofing; variable room size and condition; confirm status of reported room renovations
Location: Central and walkable, roughly 450 metres from Grand Place, with tram and metro stops nearby.
Rooms: Comfortable beds and many spacious rooms, but smaller and older-feeling rooms also draw comments.
Cleanliness: A consistent strength across Booking.com, Expedia and Trip.com feedback.
Service: Recent guests repeatedly praise friendly, helpful reception staff.
Amenities: Rooftop bar, buffet breakfast, free Wi-Fi, conference facilities and a basic fitness room.
Fees and surprises: City tax applies; parking and breakfast may cost extra depending on the booking; renovation completion is unconfirmed.
