#1 of 9 hotels in Avenue Louise by Axel's take. Avenue Louise is #4 of 9 places to stay in Brussels. The best hotels in Avenue Louise, ranked · Where to stay in Brussels

Axel's take: 9.2/10

A standout small hotel for warm service, spotless rooms and a quieter Brussels base. a small, mid-range townhouse boutique hotel in Ixelles, scored for what it is.

Made in Louise is a 48-room townhouse boutique hotel in Ixelles, and a strong pick if you prefer personal service to big-hotel facilities. Recent Tripadvisor and Expedia guests repeatedly praise the helpful staff, exceptional cleanliness and generous breakfast. The courtyard and comfortable lounges give it somewhere to unwind beyond your bedroom. For a small, mid-range hotel, it delivers unusually consistently.

The main compromises are space and location. Entry-level doubles measure just 14–16 square metres; choose a Charming or Executive room if you want more breathing room. Grand-Place is around a 30-minute walk away, although public transport is nearby. There’s no gym, and the hotel has only two parking spaces. We’d skip it if doorstep access to the historic centre or extensive facilities matters more than a quieter neighbourhood base.

  • Best for: couples seeking a quieter neighbourhood; travelers who value personal service; boutique-hotel fans

  • Watch out for: compact entry-level doubles; around 30 minutes’ walk to Grand-Place; only two hotel parking spaces

  • Location: Ixelles setting near restaurants and shops; Louise metro is roughly a 10-minute walk away.

  • Rooms: Comfortable, individually styled and air-conditioned; standard doubles are notably compact.

  • Cleanliness: A consistent strength, with exceptionally positive feedback across Tripadvisor and Expedia.

  • Service: Guests repeatedly praise welcoming staff, useful local recommendations and attentive assistance.

  • Amenities: Well-reviewed breakfast, courtyard, lounges, billiards and free Wi-Fi; no on-site gym.

  • Fees and surprises: City tax applies; breakfast may cost extra depending on the booking, and parking needs advance confirmation.
