Axel's take: 8.7/10

A strong business base with comfortable rooms and refreshed public spaces. an upscale business hotel near the U.S. Embassy, scored for what it is.

Wyndham Bogotá is an upscale business hotel that makes particular sense for embassy appointments, conferences and airport access. We'd pick it for dependable comfort rather than a luxury escape: Booking.com and Tripadvisor guests praise the beds and cleanliness, while recent Expedia reviews repeatedly highlight helpful staff and the breakfast buffet. Restaurants nearby and walkable access to Gran Estación mall add everyday convenience.

The main compromise is location: this is a practical business district, not a base for exploring La Candelaria on foot. The complimentary airport shuttle runs on a fixed schedule with limited availability, so confirm arrangements rather than assuming round-the-clock service. Earlier reviews describe disruptive lobby and restaurant work, but August 2026 reporting documents the unveiling of those renewed spaces. Some guests mention worn room details; don't assume the public-area makeover means every bedroom is newly renovated.

• Best for: U.S. Embassy appointments; Conference and business travelers; Airport-connected short stays

• Watch out for: Away from the historic sightseeing core; Airport shuttle has restricted hours and availability; Some room details show wear

• Location: Practical for the embassy and convention district, with restaurants and Gran Estación mall nearby.

• Rooms: Comfortable beds and good space earn praise; some guests report slightly worn finishes.

• Cleanliness: A consistent strength across Booking.com, Tripadvisor and recent Expedia reviews.

• Service: Generally friendly and helpful, with particularly strong recent praise for breakfast staff.

• Amenities: Restaurant, bar, meeting facilities, Wi-Fi and gym access; confirm gym arrangements if important.

• Fees and surprises: Parking is listed as complimentary; confirm shuttle hours directly because published schedules differ.
