Axel's take: 8.7/10

A strong airport-side choice for comfort and service rather than sightseeing. a full-service five-star business hotel near Bogotá’s airport, scored for what it is.

Sheraton Bogotá is a full-service five-star business hotel whose strongest selling points are practical: airport access, comfortable rooms and attentive staff. Booking.com and Expedia guests consistently praise cleanliness, beds and the generous breakfast buffet. It’s a strong pick for business trips or an overnight between flights, with an indoor pool adding something beyond the usual airport-hotel basics.

The trade-off is location: Salitre suits airport and business plans better than exploring Bogotá’s historic center on foot. Expect a conventional business hotel rather than exceptional luxury; some Tripadvisor guests report maintenance shortcomings, including inconsistent hot water, although the overall feedback remains strongly positive. The complimentary airport shuttle is useful, but confirm pickup arrangements and operating hours before arrival. We’d choose somewhere more central for a sightseeing-first stay.

• Best for: business travelers in Salitre; airport stopovers; travelers who value a pool and substantial breakfast

• Watch out for: not a walkable base for the historic center; confirm airport-shuttle arrangements; occasional maintenance complaints

• Location: In Salitre’s business district, approximately 6.5 km from El Dorado airport.

• Rooms: Comfortable beds and clean rooms earn consistent praise; some guests mention street noise.

• Cleanliness: A clear strength across Booking.com and Expedia, including recent verified stays.

• Service: Helpful, welcoming staff are a recurring highlight across several review sites.

• Amenities: Indoor pool, gym, sauna, restaurants and a much-praised breakfast buffet.

• Fees and surprises: On-site parking and airport shuttle are complimentary; breakfast inclusion depends on the booking.
