Axel's take: 8.1/10

A strong pick for space, breakfast and helpful staff, with some uneven updating. a large 4-star business hotel in Chapinero, scored for what it is.

Radisson Bogotá Metrotel is a large 4-star business hotel in Chapinero’s financial district, and a strong pick if room space matters more than boutique style. Expedia and Tripadvisor guests repeatedly praise the helpful staff, generous breakfast buffet and generally clean, spacious rooms. Apartment-style suites with kitchens make longer stays practical, while the substantial gym and panoramic lounge add appeal beyond business trips.

The catch is uneven modernization: guests still describe older rooms, despite reported mattress and technology upgrades and a refreshed lobby in 2026. August coverage says air-conditioning is limited to the top three floors, so confirm your category. An August guest also reported refurbishment dust; ask whether that work has finished. Restaurant service can be slow, and repeated billing disputes make checking the payment currency worthwhile. We’d skip it for consistently contemporary rooms or sightseeing on foot in the historic center.

• Best for: business travelers in Chapinero; families booking kitchen-equipped suites; travelers who prioritize space and breakfast

• Watch out for: uneven room updates and limited air-conditioning; refurbishment dust reported in August 2026; check payment currency and final charges

• Location: Convenient for Chapinero businesses, restaurants and shopping; not a historic-center base.

• Rooms: Spacious, with kitchen-equipped suites available; condition varies, and air-conditioning needs confirmation.

• Cleanliness: Mostly strong feedback across sites, though an August 2026 guest reported refurbishment dust.

• Service: Helpful staff are a recurring strength; restaurant speed receives some criticism.

• Amenities: Breakfast buffet, substantial gym, sauna, steam room, terrace and panoramic lounge.

• Fees and surprises: Expedia lists free parking and a paid airport transfer; confirm billing currency and any remaining refurbishment.
