#9 of 9 hotels in Ciudad Salitre & Avenida El Dorado by Axel's take. Ciudad Salitre & Avenida El Dorado is #7 of 9 places to stay in Bogota. The best hotels in Ciudad Salitre & Avenida El Dorado, ranked · Where to stay in Bogota

Axel's take: 7.3/10

Useful for a budget stopover, but recent reviews raise doubts about consistency. a no-frills budget hostel in Normandía, geared to airport stopovers, scored for what it is.

Kuyay is a simple budget hostel, not a conventional hotel; this address is its Ayllu branch. We'd consider it for a short airport or bus-terminal stopover rather than a sightseeing base. Comfortable beds, helpful staff and good value feature in positive feedback, including Expedia's two recent reviews and Tripadvisor's lone review. Shared bathrooms and modest facilities come with the territory.

The reservation is consistency. Hostelworld's 2026 guests repeatedly describe limited in-person help, with some reporting unclean bedding; shower problems also recur. That is more concerning than simply having small rooms. Late arrivals should arrange entry instructions beforehand, since access can depend on remote assistance or door codes. It's a workable budget choice for self-sufficient travelers, but we'd skip it if reliable hot showers, spotless bedding or a staffed reception are priorities.

  • Best for: budget airport stopovers; self-sufficient solo travelers; short bus-terminal stays

  • Watch out for: shared bathrooms and reported shower problems; limited in-person reception; recent bedding-cleanliness complaints

  • Location: Normandía, near Avenida El Dorado and transport links; less convenient for historic-center sightseeing.

  • Rooms: Dorm beds and private options; comfortable beds earn praise, but some guests find dorms cramped.

  • Cleanliness: Expedia feedback is positive, but multiple 2026 Hostelworld guests report unclean bedding.

  • Service: Helpful staff in positive reviews; recent guests describe difficulty finding someone on site.

  • Amenities: Free Wi-Fi, communal lounge, coworking space and laundry; bathrooms are shared.

  • Fees and surprises: Laundry costs extra; breakfast is not included. Confirm payment arrangements and late-entry instructions before arrival.
