Axel's take: 7.4/10

A useful budget base with helpful staff, but traffic noise and stairs matter. a no-frills 2-star hotel in central Bogotá, scored for what it is.

Hotel Hills Bogotá is a no-frills 2-star downtown hotel we'd consider for a short, budget-minded stay. Its strongest assets are practical: access to museums and public transport, private bathrooms, and staff repeatedly praised for being welcoming and helpful. Booking.com guests rate service notably higher than the rooms, while Expedia's overall feedback is more moderate. It's a sensible base rather than somewhere to linger.

The main compromise is sleep: guests across several sites mention loud road traffic. Room choice also matters; one April 2026 guest reported a very small, windowless room, so confirm your room's layout before booking. Expedia confirms there's no elevator, and an Agoda guest describes a substantial stair climb. We'd skip it if you need step-free access, reliable quiet, or a spacious room for a longer stay.

• Best for: budget travelers on short stays; museum sightseeing; travelers using public transport

• Watch out for: recurring road noise; stairs and no elevator; confirm room size and windows

• Location: Central Santa Fe location near Torre Colpatria, museums and public transport.

• Rooms: Simple private-bathroom rooms; size and daylight vary, and traffic noise is a recurring drawback.

• Cleanliness: Generally satisfactory rather than exceptional; Booking.com scores cleanliness 7.8/10 and Expedia 8.0/10.

• Service: A consistent strength: guests repeatedly praise friendly, helpful staff and round-the-clock reception.

• Amenities: Free Wi-Fi, daily housekeeping, luggage storage and laundry; breakfast information conflicts across listings.

• Fees and surprises: No elevator; laundry carries an extra charge. Confirm breakfast inclusion directly.
