Axel's take: 8.7/10

Spacious rooms and warm service make this a strong Chapinero base. a traditional mid-range business hotel in Chapinero Alto, scored for what it is.

Estelar Suites Jones is a traditional mid-range business hotel in Chapinero Alto, and a strong pick if you value space and service over fashionable interiors. Tripadvisor, Booking.com and Expedia guests consistently praise the generous rooms, cleanliness and helpful staff; breakfast also earns plenty of approval. Nearby restaurants and cafés make the location particularly useful for travelers who want to explore Chapinero.

The trade-off is an older-fashioned property: recent Expedia guests mention worn bathtubs and linens, while some Tripadvisor guests flag sound carrying between rooms. Management confirmed phased room renovations in August 2025, but their current status is unclear; ask about work before booking. We'd choose it for comfortable, good-value city stays, but skip it if contemporary finishes or dependable soundproofing are priorities.

• Best for: business travelers; Chapinero dining and nightlife; travelers who prioritize spacious rooms

• Watch out for: some worn bathroom fittings and linens; sound can carry between rooms; confirm the status of phased renovations

• Location: Chapinero Alto base near restaurants, cafés and the Zona G dining area.

• Rooms: Generously sized and comfortable, with traditional furnishings; some recent guests report wear.

• Cleanliness: A consistent strength across Booking.com, Expedia and Tripadvisor feedback.

• Service: Repeated praise for friendly, attentive reception and restaurant staff.

• Amenities: Restaurant, café, basic gym, free Wi-Fi and free self-parking; breakfast is well received.

• Fees and surprises: Check breakfast inclusions, especially for children; pets and airport transfers cost extra, and renovation status needs confirmation.
