Useful for an airport stopover, but noise and inconsistent basics limit its appeal. a no-frills budget hotel in Fontibón for airport stopovers, scored for what it is.

Hotel Dorado 100 is a no-frills budget hotel in Fontibón, best treated as a short airport stopover rather than a Bogotá sightseeing base. We'd consider it for travelers prioritizing a simple bed and airport access by car. Recent guests on Expedia and Booking.com praise helpful reception staff, and some find the rooms perfectly adequate for a night. Overall feedback, though, is mixed rather than reliably good.

The recurring drawbacks matter even at this level: street and reception noise, uneven housekeeping, missing towels and unreliable hot water. Several guests also describe unexpected charges or reservation problems. There is no elevator, so heavy luggage adds another complication. We'd skip it for light sleepers or anyone needing a dependable late-night arrival; confirm the reservation, arrival arrangements and total charges directly before traveling.

• Best for: budget travelers between flights; short stays with minimal luggage

• Watch out for: street and reception noise; inconsistent housekeeping and hot water; reported extra charges and reservation problems

• Location: Convenient for airport access by car, not an airport-terminal hotel or central sightseeing base.

• Rooms: Basic private-bathroom rooms; guests repeatedly mention noise, tired bedding and shower problems.

• Cleanliness: Mixed: positive reports coexist with recent complaints about dirty bedding, bathrooms and missing towels.

• Service: Helpful staff earn regular praise, but reservation handling and problem resolution are inconsistent.

• Amenities: Listings advertise free Wi-Fi, luggage storage and 24-hour reception; no elevator. Confirm late arrival despite the advertised reception hours.

• Fees and surprises: Booking.com lists a paid shuttle with limited hours; repeated guest reports of additional charges warrant written confirmation beforehand.
