Axel's take: 8.0/10

A practical Usaquén base with helpful staff, clean rooms and some dated edges. an older mid-range business hotel in northern Bogotá, scored for what it is.

Hotel Bogotá Regency Usaquén is an older mid-range business hotel that makes a sensible base for northern Bogotá. We'd pick it for practical comfort rather than contemporary design: Expedia and Tripadvisor guests repeatedly praise the helpful staff, cleanliness and spacious rooms. Usaquén's restaurants and Hacienda Santa Bárbara are within walking distance, and breakfast generally earns good feedback.

The compromise is upkeep. Recent guests on both sites describe aging fittings and rooms needing maintenance, although the overall feedback remains positive. Traffic noise can intrude in street-facing rooms, especially with windows open. Ask for a quieter room and clarify visitor rules before inviting anyone upstairs: Expedia restricts guestrooms to registered guests, and Tripadvisor reviews report unexpected visitor charges. It's a good practical choice, but we'd skip it for a polished, reliably quiet stay.

• Best for: business travelers visiting northern Bogotá; travelers who prioritize space over modern decor; Usaquén dining and shopping

• Watch out for: dated fittings and uneven maintenance; traffic noise in street-facing rooms; strict room-visitor rules

• Location: Walkable to Usaquén Park and Hacienda Santa Bárbara; convenient for northern-city business.

• Rooms: Generally spacious and comfortable, but recent reviews flag aging fittings and maintenance needs.

• Cleanliness: A consistent strength: Booking.com scores cleanliness 8.6 and Expedia 8.8.

• Service: Friendly, helpful staff receive repeated praise across Tripadvisor and Expedia.

• Amenities: Restaurant, meeting rooms, Wi-Fi and free parking; confirm dining hours because the official page lists conflicting schedules.

• Fees and surprises: Airport transfers cost extra; confirm breakfast inclusion and visitor charges before arrival.
